Trusting God in 2026

We wrapped up 2025 with a girls’ camp and joyful Christmas celebrations, sharing God’s love with our community.
Over the holidays, we enjoyed visits from family, said goodbye to Emma, and began 2026 with prayer vigils and church ministry across our district.
This year also brings exciting changes as we’re starting to plan to relocate to Mansa as a family.
Grateful hearts, new season, and Christmas ahead

After returning to Zambia as a family of six, we’ve settled back into our home in Puta and jumped right back into daily life here in the village. Daryl is once again serving in the local churches, and Tabea has resumed homeschooling the kids.
As December approaches, several special events are on the horizon—we’re planning a camp for teenage girls and preparing for our annual Christmas Blessing project.
Seeking the welfare of the place we’ve been sent

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
Being sent or called to Zambia – especially rural Zambia has at times felt like being sent into exile. We’re sharing more about the rich season with meaningful work, moments of reflection, and steady investment in the community God has called us to.
Highlights, Challenges, and Exciting News

We’ve been continuing to pour into our local church, and Daryl’s also been ministering to support other churches in the region.
Over the past months we’ve had some amazing moments – like baptisms and a pastors’ gathering -but also some real challenges, especially with our vehicles.
A big highlight was having Emma’s parents visit—they jumped right in and helped lead conferences and special events that really encouraged our leaders.
Outreaches & Christmas celebrations

In December we had another Harvest School Outreach team here and were blessed to have them work alongside us for two weeks.
Then, once again, we got to carry out our Christmas project. It was truly a privilege to be able to bless the people here in such a meaningful way. Thank you for all your support!
We also have exciting plans for 2025 and can’t wait to see all that God will be doing in and around us here.
Updates and (more than) a bus!

We have (more than) a bus!
God has provided for us to buy TWO(!) buses and we’ve been deeply blessed by His goodness and marked by the generosity.
We’re also still working on the new buildings on our property: One of them is almost finished and we’re currently working on the walls of the second one.

Back in Zambia

We have now been back in Puta for more than a month after a short visit to Switzerland.
We have big dreams and plans for 2024 and are excited to share them with you.
Christmas Blessing

We have it on our hearts to bless our village (or at least our immediate neighbors) again this Christmas season.
We will give away small gifts of toys and snacks for the children and food packages with a month’s worth of essentials for families.

At the end of October, our dear friends Claude&Géraldine came to visit us for a little over a month.
It was an amazing time with them and their friendship and investment in our lives here have been such a blessing.
